At the beginning of the 1930s, Walter Koehler is, as it is definitely known, the only member engaged in the club management of FC St. Pauli to have joined the Nazi party (or one of its suborganisations) before the actual „takeover of power“. His time seemed to conincided with the unification of the Sports and Hitler Youth in the mid 1930s. But when he dared to struggle for power against his „club leader“, he lost.
