Paul Lang
… returned to Hamburg in October 1945, where he later worked as prison officer in the rank of ”Oberwachtmeister“ (senior watch-master).
Due to mistreatments by SS-members he suffered a permanent damage to his knee. He was never compensated for this. He never took part in club activities at FC St. Pauli again.
He died on 7 February 2003 in Essen, Germany
Otto Lang
… never returned to Germany. He found a job at a ships chandler in Manhattan, NYC, where he was employed until retirement, working, among others, on the yacht of comedian Jerry Lewis. Some of his inventions were patented by his employer.
Otto Lang died in the same year as his brother, on 29 April in New York City.

Since 2008, this plaque remembers the two founders of the FC St. Pauli rugby department. It was first placed inside and is now in front of the south stand (“Südkurve”). The inscription says:
“in grateful memory of Otto Lang and Paul Lang. After racist persecution they found a new home at FC St. Pauli in the year 1933 and initiated the founding of the rugby department.”
